I faced an urgent issue with my daughter, who had severe eczema covering her face. At the time, she was a toddler and quite clingy, often resting her cheek on my shoulder as we moved from shop to shop.
After numerous visits to our general practitioner and trying various prescribed treatments, her eczema would clear up only to return shortly after. Eventually, we decided to consult a specialist at St. Thomas Hospital. Upon entering his office, he complimented me on my pleasant perfume, which sparked a conversation about my daughter's condition. He asked how I applied my fragrance. Like many people, I sprayed it from shoulder to shoulder and around my neck, chest, and arms.
Looking at my poor child still clinging to me, I felt guilty knowing that she was likely picking up traces of the fragrance from my clothes, which could be contributing to flare-ups on her cheeks and fingers.
